Terms and Conditions

1. I understand that all users of SOCIALISE must be 18 years of age or older; I warrant that I am 18 or older.
2. I will be the only person to access and use the SOCIALISE website through my account and under my user identity name.
3. I understand and accept that SOCIALISE may:
   1. retain records regarding my account and its use which may be provided to parties with lawful authority, such as the police, or to a party which, in the opinion of SOCIALISE, is pursuing legitimate legal action;

   and

   2. use "cookies" to enhance my use of the SOCIALISE website
4. I warrant that the personal details I have provided, including my name and address, are true and correct.
5. I accept that SOCIALISE is not a forum for commercial activity by its members and that my account may be suspended or cancelled (without reimbursement) if I participate in any commercial activity or attempt to solicit business via the SOCIALISE website.
6. I will not engage in any unlawful activity on or via the SOCIALISE website including, but not limited to, making defamatory, threatening, obscene, libellous, or offensive statements, posting any photographs or images which may be similarly described, and engaging in stalking behaviour.
7. I accept responsibility for any and all actions taken via my SOCIALISE account including, but not limited to, legal responsibility for any infringement of intellectual property rights, defamation or libel, and for any criminal activity. I indemnify and agree to hold SOCIALISE Limited completely harmless from any claim made against it in relation to any activity undertaken via my SOCIALISE account.
8. I understand that the SOCIALISE website may be monitored or moderated from time to time however I accept that users are individually responsible for all statements made or actions taken via their accounts, and that SOCIALISE Limited bears no responsibility whatsoever for the statements or actions of any member or user of the SOCIALISE website.
9. I agree not to discuss nor direct users of the SOCIALISE website to any competing service or website.
10. I agree to register only a single account on the Socialise website. I also acknowledge that the act of registering subsequent accounts on the Socialise website is a breach of these terms..
11. I understand and accept that if these Terms and Conditions, or the rules or Etiquette (Mutual Respect Agreement) for use of the SOCIALISE website, are breached (or appear to be breached) by me or via my SOCIALISE account, my account may be immediately suspended or terminated without any reimbursement.
12. I warrant that I have never been convicted of a sexual offence.
13. All disputes regarding these Terms and Conditions and / or use of the SOCIALISE website, are subject to the laws of New Zealand.
14. I acknowledge that SOCIALISE is the owner of all intellectual property in and to its business, including the SOCIALISE website, and I will not make any unauthorised use of that intellectual property, nor assist any other party to do so.
